Here are comments on the end of the third part of the novel:

Clapham Common is an enormous area of grassland situated in south London. It was historically common land for the parishes of Battersea and Clapham, but was converted to parkland under the terms of the Metropolitan Commons Act 1878.

Liverpool Cathedral has a long history of building and was completed in 1978. The Largest Anglican Cathedral in the UK and the fifth in the world.

Book of common prayer is the short title of a number of related prayer books used in the Anglican Communion, as well as by the Continuing Anglican, "Anglican realignment" and other Anglican churches.

Assize court, the courts of assize, or assizes  were periodic criminal courts held around England and Wales until 1972, when together with the quarter sessions they were abolished by the Courts Act 1971 and replaced by a single permanent Crown Court. The assizes heard the most serious cases, which were committed to it by the quarter sessions (local county courts held four times a year), while the more minor offences were dealt with summarily by justices of the peace in petty sessions (also known as magistrates' courts).

Tortoiseshell glasses got their name because of the material of the frame which is apparently tortoiseshell. They were quite popular because of their unusual appearance, durability and warmth against the skin. Though the prices were rather high. The production was banned in 1970s and tortoiseshell material was replaced by artificial materials.

Balham is a neighborhood of South London and is part of the London Borough of Wandsworth. On 14 October 1940 Balham tube station was involved in bombing raids which took place in London during World War II. People took cover in the tube station. A bomb landed directly on top of the station, bursting water and gas mains and killing 64 people. 

Edwardian terrace is a semi-balcony which sticks out.

 Ford 8 is the first Ford automobile specifically designed for markets outside the United States of America. The little Ford was available in two and four-door versions. In June 1935 a reduced specification two-door model was the only closed-body car ever to sell in Britain for just £100, a price it held until July 1937.

Morden is a district in the London Borough of Merton. It is located approximately 8 miles (13 km) South-southwest of central London between Merton Park and Wimbledon (to the north), Mitcham (to the east), Sutton (to the south) and Worcester Park (to the west).

Emergency medical services (EMS) are a type of emergency service dedicated to providing out-of-hospital acute medical care, transport to definitive care, and other medical transport to patients with illnesses and injuries which prevent the patient from transporting themselves.

Gray’s Anatomy is an English-language human anatomy textbook originally written by Henry Gray. Earlier editions were called Anatomy: Descriptive and Surgical, but the book's name is commonly shortened to, and later editions are titled, Gray's Anatomy. The book is widely regarded as an extremely influential work on the subject, and has continued to be revised and republished from its initial publication in 1858 to the present day.

Alfred Edward Housman (1859 – 1936) was an English classical scholar and poet, best known to the general public for his cycle of poems “A Shropshire Lad”. Lyrical and almost epigrammatic in form, the poems wistfully evoke the dooms and disappointments of youth in the English countryside.

George Crabbe (1754 – 1832) was an English poet, surgeon, and clergyman. He is best known for his early use of the realistic narrative form and his descriptions of middle and working-class life and people.

Stout is a dark beer made using roasted malt or roasted barley, hops, water and yeast. Stouts were traditionally the generic term for the strongest or stoutest porters, typically 7% or 8%, produced by a brewery. It is quite popular in the UK.
